Your safety is our utmost priority. In response to the Victorian Government’s lockdown, and as per the Australian Dental Association guidelines, appointments have been restricted.
There are certain procedures that can proceed. The patient’s that can still be seen will be contacted to confirm that their appointment will be going ahead as planned.
If your appointment doesn’t fall into this category, your appointment will be cancelled and we will be in touch to re-schedule as soon as possible.
It’s understandable you may be concerned about your appearance while having orthodontic treatment, but at Lavrin & Lawrence Orthodontics we take that concern away with our ceramic braces.
What are ceramic braces?
Ceramic braces are just like traditional metal braces but with one small difference – the brackets which are fitted to the surface of your teeth are made from a very fine, translucent porcelain which blends in with the colour of your teeth. This makes them less visible than metal braces.
It also means they are perfect for our patients who are feeling self-conscious about having treatment. Ceramic braces are one of our more discreet treatment options we have available and they’re no less effective at straightening teeth than the other appliances we use.
Who are ceramic braces suitable for?
Ceramic braces are an option for all our patients. Suitable for teens and adults, they are most effective for major orthodontic corrections. The translucent porcelain reduces their visibility making them a viable option for people who work in public-facing roles and, because they are less expensive than other discreet treatment options such as Invisalign and lingual braces, they’re ideal for patients who are looking for a more affordable orthodontic treatment experience.

You should always read and follow the label and the instructions of your treating orthodontist.
